Learning, To Go (Web Series) - Open Casting Call
UPDATE: On The Ropes will be a proud sponsor of the St. Louis based web series 'Learning, To Go'. Video and Resumes must be emailed to email@example.com. Here are the monologues you should read if you're interested.
Why should you hire me? Look, I need this job. You know that part about me shooting myself? Well, if I have to spend anymore time with that old bastard I might just shoot him and then I'll never get to go back home. I also know how to drive a car, and I'm pretty sure that's all that's required for this job, anyway. If you don't hire me, you'll just have to interview someone else, and we both know you don't want to do that.
Jay! I don't care that you're NOT 21, but I do know that you like Sara, and I know that you're way too smart to let something like age or a girl not liking you keep you from getting that girl. Where would this great nation be if everyone gave up? Buzz Lightyear would have never reached the moon, Woody would have never found Bullseye, and pot would never have become legal.
No, I want to talk about it right here, in the open. That's how I do business. How I DON'T do business is by losing all my money. I lose my money when you decrease sales. When you decrease sales, my wallet gets thin. And when my wallet gets thin, I get angry. And when I get angry, people tend to get hurt. You know how I like my wallets, Leslie. Big, black, and thick. What are you going to do about this, Leslie? Are you going to get sales back up? Are you going to get me thick again?
FEMALE # 1
What I was trying to say is that I just had some second thoughts. It's nothing personal, I just don't want to be kidnapped, tied up, and raped in a basement for the next thirty years. Anyway, I really am sorry. But I showed up, didn't I?
