Yesterday morning July 20th, 2017 Chester Bennington of Linkin Park fame died tragically from suicide. The entire entertainment community has been mourning the loss of the frontman. Bennington leaves behind 6 children from 2 different wives. Among those mourning this heavy loss is our very own Oscar Rendon who had an encounter with Bennington back in 2015. Here is his open letter to tragic passing he posted yesterday evening on Instagram. Our condolences go out to Chester Bennington's family.
This is a photo from 2 years ago in Chicago IL (Tinley Park) on the Carnivores Tour with @linkinpark and @30secondstomars and I took this picture of Chester grabbing my hand and I felt so much energy, love and passion for the music he created. The same energy, love and passion I put into everything I create. I remember the summer of 2007, driving to Chicago and driving on Lake Shore Drive watching the lake's waves sway and move. All the while I was listening to LP's MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT album on a crappy CD player that would skip parts of a song anytime we hit a bump or so. That is my favorite memory of listening to Chesters voice. In a car, headphones on, looking at the waves of the lake move back and forth. You changed my life, influenced the music I listened and above all else were a voice for the voiceless. (Never letting go of this moment) RIP Chester
