2019 Royal Rumble Kickoff Show Results

- This “supersized” Kick-off show starts with a huge panel, including Beth Phoenix, Booker T, Jerry Lawler, and Johnathon Coachman. They start off with the HUGE announcement that Braun Strowman replaces the injured John Cena in the Men’s Royal Rumble. Two championship matches have been announced for the kick-off show, The Cruiserweight and United States Championship matches will be defended on the pre-show. Drake Maverick announced that AOP’s Rezar will team up with The Revival’s Scott Dawson to take on the Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable for the title.

- Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley interrupt Charly Caruso and JBL to talk about how Lashley is going to dominate in tonight's Men’s Royal Rumble. Once they walk away, JBL and Caruso move on to talk about the Becky Lynch/Asuka match happening tonight.

- The kick-off panel comes back, with David Otunga and Shawn Michaels replacing Booker T and Jerry Lawler. They come back and run down all of the matches on the card for tonight.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeats Rusev to become the NEW WWE United States Champion

- Nikki Cross is shown backstage in an odd promo about how she is going to win the Women’s Royal Rumble tonight.

- Recap from NXT Takeover Phoenix. Next Sunday, Adam Cole, Tammaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano will take on Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, and Aleister Black during “Halftime Heat”

Buddy Murphy retains the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Kalisto, Akira Tozawa, and Hideo Itami

- One last rundown of the matches before the start of the big show.

Asuka retains the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Championship against Becky Lynch.

The Miz and Shane McMahon win the WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships.

- A small break in the action to announce the Chase Field attendance of 48,193. Then we roll into a recap of the Rhonda Rousey/Sasha Banks Fued. Charly Caruso has a quick interview with Sasha before her music hits and she heads to the ring.

- After the match Sasha was standing at the end of the entrance area, and gestured a 4 to Rousey. Interesting enough this could be leading to the 4 horsewoman match that everyone has been speculating about for some time now. The question is, do they pull the trigger for Mania?

- An Elimination Chamber promo airs, hyping the February event from Houston, Texas.
